Step inside and you are greeted by the popular open-concept great room with exposed timbered ceiling and fireplace. This is the heart of the McKay, where the timbers draw the eye upward and the fireplace anchors the space with its promise of warmth and connection. The exposed beams lend a rustic authenticity that never goes out of style, while the open layout ensures that whether you are reading by the fire or visiting with friends, you always feel part of the room.

The thoughtful design continues into the kitchen with adjoining laundry and half-bath—a practical arrangement that keeps household tasks conveniently tucked away yet easily accessible. The dining area opens to the rear sunroom with cathedral ceiling, creating a seamless flow from everyday meals to light-filled relaxation. The sunroom, with its elevated ceiling, becomes a destination in itself—a place to enjoy morning coffee surrounded by windows or to watch afternoon storms roll across the landscape.

So whether you're spending a quiet evening at home with the family or entertaining friends, the McKay is the perfect host. It adapts to the moment, offering intimacy when you need it and space when you want it.

The McKay 2 and McKay 3

TThe popularity of the McKay inspired us to develop variations that offer the same beloved character with expanded functionality. The McKay 2 is the same exterior size as the original McKay, but rooms are redesigned and the master bedroom is 2' wider. That additional width transforms the master suite, offering even more breathing room and flexibility in furniture placement.

It also has additional space for a half-bath, laundry, and mud room in the adjoining breezeway, plus an attached 2-car garage on the right. This addition is a game-changer for those who prioritize convenience and storage. The breezeway creates a graceful transition from garage to home, while the mud room provides a dedicated drop zone for boots, coats, and bags. The McKay 3 offers the same generous features, with the attached 2-car garage positioned on the left, allowing you to choose the configuration that best suits your property and approach.

Download the McKay Log Home Floor Plan Flyer (see above) for McKay 2 and McKay 3 floor plans. Study the layouts, compare the configurations, and imagine your life unfolding within these walls. Whether you choose the original McKay, the McKay 2 with garage on the right, or the McKay 3 with garage on the left, you are guaranteed a home designed to welcome, to gather, and to grow alongside. Come see why the McKay remains one of our most beloved models—and let it become yours in just a few short clicks.
