About Us

Building Peace of Mind

At Hochstetler Log Homes, we believe a log home is more than just a house. It is a way of life. As an Ohio log home builder with over 40 years of experience, we have helped families across the United States and beyond build homes that combine timeless beauty with modern reliability. From the first cut of timber to the final log home floor plan, we take pride in a process that ensures quality, integrity, and peace of mind.

Our promise is simple: The Right Logs. The Right Advice. The Right Choice.

Precision from the Ground Up

Every log home and cabin begins at our Ohio mill, where we handle each step of production with care. We harvest only the highest quality logs, air-dry them for up to a year, kiln-dry them to perfection, and mill them to a tolerance of just .01 of an inch. This precision ensures that your walls fit tightly and your home endures for generations. Along with your log home kit, we provide complete construction blueprints, engineering support, and connections to qualified builders who understand our system.

Our customers often tell us that we do not just sell them a home. We walk with them through every stage of the journey. That is the Hochstetler difference.

Responsible Forestry, Sustainable Living

We believe in making the most of what nature provides. That means using 100% of every log that comes into our mill. Heartwood becomes beams and logs, the outer shell becomes siding and tongue-and-groove panels, and planer shavings are repurposed for livestock bedding.

Our forestry practices are equally intentional. Through selective harvesting, restocking, and sound plantation management, we conserve natural resources while ensuring a renewable future. This stewardship means the log homes we build today are part of a cycle that benefits tomorrow’s generations.

Our Commitment to You

We know building a log home is one of the biggest decisions you will make. That is why we build with transparency, craftsmanship, and care. From your first visit to our model homes to the day you move in, our goal is to make the process as smooth and rewarding as possible.

At Hochstetler, we do not just build log homes. We help build dreams. And we would be honored to help you build yours.

In Their Words

Hochstetler Log Homes is honest and straight forward about what is involved in buying a log home! We had looked at log home magazines, attended log home shows, toured models and even met with other companies over the past 10 years. It was like we walked in our home when we walked in the front door of the Hochstetler model!
